The situation in Mumbai, India is still not under control. Flames and smoke now billow from the Taj Majal Hotel. The India military was reported entering the Oberoi followed shortly by a large explosion.The terrorists were targeting civillians carrying U.S. and British passports. One witness reported seeing them take about 15 people hostage. Andrew Stevens, a CNN reporter who was staying at the Taj Mahal, estimated that nearly half of the people staying at the Taj were westerners.
11 Police Officers have been killed in the attacks and more wounded.
Many witnesses have shared their stories:
"Another gunmen appeared in front of us, carrying machine gun-type weapons. And he just started firing at us. ... I just turned and ran in the opposite direction."
"I heard some gunshots ... Something hit me. I ran away and fell on the road. Then somebody picked me up. I have injuries below my shoulder."Source
