Continuation of Previous Blog

Hello, welcome to this first introduction post. This will be the second public blog that I have set up. It is in a sense a continuation of my previous blog, xPirate - Welcome to Life. The last post on that blog was made back at the start of October. I have two main reasons why I decided to start a new blog that is a continuation of my old one.

  • First of all, I wanted to run a news blog. Unfortunately around the time of my last post on xPirate, the only news that I could find interesting enough to report on was the political campaigns. Now, I do enjoy good politics every once in a while, however I felt there were already enough political blogs going around and I didn't feel like I had enough knowledge to compete with them. I'd like to bring my readers more interesting stories than "Obama is ahead in the polls and dominating the debates."
  • My second reason for starting a new blog was because I wanted to try something different than Wordpress. While wordpress was great when I was first getting into blogging, I soon learned that it had it's limitations. I heard from a few people that Blogger could give me the customization I wanted and was more open with where I could take the blog.
  • There is a hidden third reason too. I wanted to change the name of my blog. I thought I needed something more appealing to what the blog was actually about.
As far as the new blog name goes, "Action is Thought" was inspired by one of my favorite quotes of all time. I used it as my senior quote and continue to live by it:
"All that we are is a result of what we have thought. What we think, we become." -Buddha
I just thought I would share that quote with you all because it truly is inspiring and I think is an excellent way to start off this new blog! I hope you all enjoy it as much as the last one. Keep reading!
